About GoKurious
Learn by asking what if. GoKurious turns big ideas into tiny experiments that children can poke, pull and play with.
What it is
GoKurious is a collection of 50 interactive learning simulators for students in Class 3–10. Each one models a real idea from science, maths, space, Earth science, technology or the environment in a simple, honest way, then lets learners change the inputs and see what happens.
How it teaches
- Ask “what if?” Every simulator starts with a curiosity question.
- Change one thing. Two to five clear controls, no clutter.
- See it instantly. Visuals drawn live with SVG and Canvas.
- Read why. A plain-language “What changed?” panel explains the result.
- Check understanding. Three challenge questions and talk-about-it prompts for grown-ups.
Built light on purpose
Many learners use shared phones on slow connections. So GoKurious uses no heavy frameworks, no videos, no web fonts and no large images. Each simulator is smaller than a photo, and once opened it keeps working offline. You can install it like an app straight from the browser.
Honest models
The simulators use real relationships (Snell’s law, Ohm’s law, Archimedes’ principle, a predator–prey model, Kepler’s periods, logarithmic earthquake magnitudes…) simplified to the level of the class range shown. Where numbers are classroom estimates, for example carbon emission factors, the page says so.
